This month we hosted a Social Media Workshop with Maddy from Making your Business Shine.
Using Social Media, and the mastering of it, can often feel like the elusive Holy Grail to many of us in business. It’s a time-consuming, necessary ‘evil’ that we all need to use to promote our businesses and create new interest and bookings.
Our members were keen to learn more from an expert and so we devised a day’s workshop with Maddy.
It was an enlightening and informative day and Maddy’s teaching style was interactive and experience based, which made it all easy to comprehend and apply.
Some comments from our members who attended the day:
‘I had a great day at the SEO seminar. Amazing how little I knew, even the small things that have become so useful and will eventually become automatic. Maddy’s a fantastic communicator. A wealth of knowledge and the ability to clarify and explain to techy idiots’.
Helen Edwards, The Velvet Daisy
‘Thank you so much for the social media seminar on Tuesday. For me, it was exactly what I was looking for. I chose it because it covered Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest at the same time. But I didn't expect the day to be as thorough as it was as it also included detailed information about branding, ideal client, corporate image...I am already using the techniques taught by Maddy. I would highly recommend it’.
Corinne Payet, Gourmandises
‘I really enjoyed the Making Your Business Shine Seminar via the NAWP, Maddy was fantastic and fun explaining the jargon required for Social Media as well as advising the do’s and don’ts. In particular I have gone from using twitter as my main social media to Instagram which more of my clients are now using. I was so impressed I booked a call with Maddy to explore further! Thank you NAWP for setting this up.’
Lyndsey Taylor, Caledonian Club
It was a helpful and inspiring day and instigated a lot of thought on our businesses and the promotion of them, how to reach your audience and how to present yourself effectively.
We know many of you were unhappy to miss it, so we will schedule another one for next year.
