Spring Networking Event at The Langham - and our 10th birthday!

This week, together with The Langham London, we hosted our Spring event which also coincided with our 10th anniversary.

Hazel welcomed guests and reminisced a little about the last 10 years. We were delighted to have some of our founding members there. John Nassari recalled being part of the Focus Group we called together before launching NAWP to ensure we were on the right track in providing what our industry needed from such an association. It doesn't feel like 10 years ago - which is probably a good sign!

We were delighted to have Michelle Miles from the Sustainable Wedding Alliance as our guest speaker. A pertinent and important topic that wasn't at the forefront of our minds 10 years ago.

Our event was supported by our members Wedding Insurance Group and Event Boss who were available to answer guests' questions and explain how they can help support wedding businesses' needs.

As this was a celebration, we altered the format of our event a little to incorporate some fun and healthy competition. Emma Murray-Jones from The Langham explained her carefully curated plan which encouraged each of the guests to make a cocktail, decorate a cake, and make a buttonhole (assisted by Hayford & Rhodes).

We were delighted to have East London Photobooth at the evening, providing the commemorative photos for all our guests.

Our member, John Ashmele, was on hand to keep the evening's proceedings on track, and Kim Rix enjoyed photographing the fun and merriment.

Winner of the networking challenge was our member Celebrant, Nicola West, and Siobhan announced the winning cake artists as John Nassari, Love Lydia and One Great George Street. (Don't ditch the day jobs just yet!).

A huge thank you to all of you who sponsored our event. It was wonderful to celebrate 10 years at such an iconic and stunning venue as The Langham, and you all added so much to the event.

Thank you to all our members, your continuing support is why we are still here 10 years on. Here's to the next 10!
