Carbis Bay FAM Trip

We were delighted to partner with Hazel Parsons on the FAM trip to Carbis Bay Estate for the launch of the Ocean Building.

Many of our NAWP members attended and so it presented an excellent opportunity for them to catch up with one another at this glorious setting. Carbis Bay is truly a gem in Cornwall's crown, set on a 25 acre private Blue Flag beach, this hotel and spa offers luxury and relaxation to the max! An already popular wedding venue, the addition of the Ocean Building has provided the setting with another beautiful space to accommodate larger weddings.

We were transported from London by train and were greeted at St Erth by some of the hotel's staff to be ferried the short journey to the estate. After checking into our beautiful, seafront lodges, we were given time to relax with champagne before changing for dinner. The Ocean Suite launch was in association with many talented suppliers including our NAWP, Peboryon, who created an under-the-sea gluten-free and vegan cake to complement the evening's theme. Local floral designer, Anna Sawle, designed and created the wonderful table centres and RoCha Designs produced the accompanying table stationery. We were treated to entertainment from Dan Brazier and Elastic Lounge throughout the evening and dancing was announced by a flurry of fireworks from the beach by Celebration Pyrotechnics. The bar for the evening was decorated by Snazzy Balloons and we enjoyed champagne courtesy of Moet Hennessy.

The next morning we had a full tour of the Estate and its facilities and then time to explore and enjoy St Ives or visit the spa. We were then transported to the Carbis Bay sister hotel, The Gannet, for a delicious and plentiful afternoon tea. We also toured the facilities at this hotel, ideal for a smaller wedding.

That evening we enjoyed dinner and dancing, courtesy of the immensely talented Kaj Music, in the Beach Club. A glorious, as the name would suggest, beach-side setting.

Sunday morning saw us enjoying a late breakfast before embarking on our train journey back to London.

A huge thank you to Carbis Bay, Hazel and all the suppliers for a wonderful weekend experience. We were all so impressed by the location, the accommodation, the facilities, and the wonderfully enthusiastic staff, who made the occasion even more special.
