NAWP merging with UKWA

We are delighted to announce that we are officially merging with the UK Wedding Association from 13th November 2025!

After nearly 13 years as NAWP, we are merging with the newly-formed UKWA. The synergy of the two associations make it a beneficial move for our members and an exciting development that honours the work and legacy of NAWP.

Siobhan Craven-Robins & Amanda Thompson (Founders of NAWP)
It really doesn't feel like 14 years ago that we first hatched the idea of an association that could support and benefit our industry. It feels like so much has changed in that time, and also not that much i.e that there is still the need for such a body, and that effective networking is still so key to business success in our industry.
This next generation of NAWP is everything we could wish for; it continues the impeccable reputation we have, the support of wedding businesses, and advocates and recognises professionalism within our industry.
We are delighted and excited to see the developments, and whilst we are hanging up our hats as directors and winding down NAWP; we will still be very much present in UKWA.

Hazel Parsons (Director NAWP)
My journey with the NAWP has allowed me to witness firsthand the inspiring people and diverse businesses that make up the UK wedding industry. We have been fortunate enough to celebrate with our triumphs and successes members, supported them through times of change and crisis, and helped our associate members grow into strong, sustainable, ethical, and often award-winning businesses. The Association has provided a 'Gold Standard' for UK wedding professionals to uphold, cherish, and gain a sense of pride from. For prospective couples, it has given them an added confidence when booking their supply team.
A highlight for me over the years has been supporting and coaching the new businesses alongside Siobhan, Amanda and Tracy. I've also massively enjoyed connecting up members at our Networking Events, Discovery Tours and Fam trips, knowing that they will go on to work together, refer clients and create incredible weddings together.  I am excited to see what this next chapter has in store for the NAWP members.

Tracy Butterfield (Director NAWP)
Serving as a Director of such a prestigious association has been one of the most meaningful chapters of my professional journey. I am deeply grateful for the incredible individuals I’ve had the privilege to meet over the last 6 years — each one passionate, driven, and unwavering in their commitment to create magic for their couples.
Being part of the NAWP family, lead triumphantly by Siobhan, has been a true honour. We have not only built lasting friendships, but also created real, continuing impact by representing and advocating for our industry on a national scale. The opportunity to be a voice for our industry alongside Siobhan, as a founder of the UK Wedding Taskforce, has been both humbling and unforgettable. I carry forward immense pride and gratitude for every moment shared and every milestone reached during this time.
There are countless memories - from our vibrant networking events to the unforgettable moment of dancing down the aisle to speak at Bridelux at The Savoy and from collaborating with exceptional venues across the UK to sharing private moments filled with fun and laughter.
Now it’s time for a new chapter.

Alison Hargreaves, Founder & Director of UKWA shares her thoughts with us: "The merger of the National Association of Wedding Professionals and the new UK Wedding Association is an exciting, forward-thinking step for our industry.
This collaboration brings significant benefits to NAWP members, including immediate access to a much wider professional network, starting with our launch event on October 13th. NAWP members will also be the first to access our new industry benchmarking standards, positioning them to lead in defining professional excellence for wedding businesses. We're delighted that NAWP is at the heart of this transformative moment for the wedding industry".
